King Kebab Le Pouzin — French Restaurant Site
Authentic halal kebab restaurant in Le Pouzin, France — serving tacos, burgers and online delivery to local clientele.
I built King Kebab Le Pouzin on Laravel with its own online ordering system, so the restaurant keeps the margin that a delivery marketplace would otherwise take.

The engineering decision
For a small local business, the difference between owning the ordering flow and renting it from a marketplace is the difference between a profitable order and a break-even one. On thin restaurant margins, a 30% commission is frequently the entire profit.
The site does not need to compete with the marketplace on reach. It only needs to capture the customers who already know the restaurant — and those are the majority of repeat orders.
