- Mobile-first, because emergency searches happen on a phone
The engineering decision
The emergency route is never more than one tap from anywhere on the site. Somebody with water coming through their ceiling is not going to read a services page first, and any design that makes them look for the phone number has failed at its only urgent job.
For trades, the site has two entirely separate audiences: the planner comparing quotes, and the person in an emergency. Designing for only one of them is the common mistake.
