I built Mossodor — a UK retailer of premium chandeliers, pendant lighting and wall sconces — on Next.js with a fully custom front end rather than a themed template.

What I built

  • Custom Next.js storefront built around high-consideration purchases
  • Product photography presentation that holds up at full zoom
  • Detailed specifications surfaced before the customer has to ask
  • Product pages designed for repeat visits over days, not one session
  • Delivery and returns information positioned to remove hesitation

The engineering decision

At this price point nobody impulse-buys. They return three or four times over a fortnight, often on different devices, before committing. So the work went into what survives that consideration period: imagery that rewards zooming, specifications that answer the unasked question, and a page that respects someone spending real money on an object they cannot touch.

Conversion at the high end is not a louder call-to-action. It is the systematic removal of doubt.
