I built Swiss Bridge Academy as a full learning platform — programming, AI, design, marketing and sales — for a Swiss-managed academy, with student dashboards throughout.
What I built
- Course catalogue with modules, lessons and ordering
- Enrolment and payment states, including mid-course purchases
- Progress tracking that survives a browser crash or device switch
- Student dashboards showing position across multiple courses
- Instructor tooling for editing content without breaking live enrolments
- Certificate issuance tied to genuine completion
The engineering decision
The requirements that actually consume the budget: a student who pays halfway through, an instructor who reorders a module after fifty people have started it, and progress that must not evaporate when a laptop dies.
If you are scoping an LMS, the course player is maybe 20% of the work. Enrolment states, progress tracking and instructor tooling are the rest — and they decide whether the platform is still usable in month six or quietly abandoned.
