Masaary — AI Career Skills Platform
AI-powered platform that analyzes career skill gaps against the actual hiring requirements of Saudi enterprises (Aramco, SABIC, Al Rajhi, Neom) and generates personalized upskilling paths.
I built Masaary to start from the requirements instead of from the course catalogue. It analyses the gap between a person's current skills and what Saudi enterprises are genuinely hiring for — Aramco, SABIC, Al Rajhi, Neom — then generates a personalised upskilling path from that measured gap.
What I built
- Skill-gap analysis against real enterprise hiring requirements
- Personalised upskilling paths generated per user
- Next.js front end with a TypeScript Node backend
- PostgreSQL modelling of skills, roles and requirement mappings
- OpenAI used for interpretation, never for inventing the underlying data
The engineering decision
The interesting engineering here was restraint. Letting a language model free-associate a curriculum would have taken an afternoon and demoed beautifully. Grounding every single recommendation in real, current hiring requirements is slower, less impressive on stage, and the only version worth shipping.
An AI product that confidently invents a career path is worse than no product at all — because someone will follow it.
