TimeStay — Hourly Hotel Booking
Hourly hotel-room booking platform offering short-term stays from 2–12 hours with real-time availability and payment integration.
I built TimeStay for hotel stays of 2 to 12 hours, with real-time availability and integrated payments — the same domain as nightly hotel booking, and almost none of the same code.

- Hourly availability with overlapping-slot detection
- Turnaround buffers between guests built into availability
- Block-based pricing rather than nightly rates
- Real-time availability updates during booking
- Stripe payment integration
The engineering decision
Hourly booking turns a simple date-range comparison into a genuine scheduling problem. You are no longer asking "is this room free on the 14th" — you are asking whether a three-hour block starting at 14:30 fits between two existing bookings with cleaning time on either side.
That single change invalidates most of what a standard booking library gives you for free.
